Holt Landscaping did our entire backyard several months ago, and we're still 100% satisfied. They installed lawn, concrete, plants, flower beds, rock, and wood chips. From planning the layout to completing the project, it was abundantly clear how much Gary cares about his customers and wants to deliver a product that they will actually love. We had considered several other companies in the area, and ultimately it was confidence that Gary would look after our project as if it was for someone in his own family. He did, and we couldn't be more grateful.

We met with Gary Holt after being "ghosted" by another landscape designer...which turned out to be fortuitous! When he came, we walked him through what we wanted, which was quite a bit of work. He took that back and after a week or so provided us with a quote. In addition, we had some items as optional, pending our budget at the time of the project.

After we approved and sent a small deposit, we scheduled a tentative start date, which was about 4 month out (during Covid days, everything takes longer). As we approached the date, I contacted Gary and he asked to push out a couple of weeks due to other projects taking longer than anticipated. That was fine with us...as mentioned, these things don't go so smoothly anymore!

Anyway, after that short extra delay, the workers all arrived and work got started. The workers on the team were awesome. Friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and detail oriented. Gary was often out there, checking up on stuff and making sure we were happy. As work progressed, we had a payment play in place and that's how we went.

The worst part was the pergola we wanted was delayed, repeatedly. That's not Gary's fault. At the end, we agreed to order 3 similar ones and take the first one that arrived. It did, about 6 months after the rest of the work was done, but once it did, the team came and installed it and we couldn't be happier!

Overall, we are truly enamored with our new backyard! It's our oasis and Hold Landscape Inc brought it into being. It did take patience...and like some people have mentioned, communication can sometimes not be that great, but based on my experience and other people's (who hired other landscapers), that's kind of the way it is. Regardless, Gary always got back to me.

My experience with Holt Landscape was very good from the beginning to the end. The initial planning was very easy: I told Andre my vision, and he added more ideas that enhanced the plan. The crew, Ruben and Yani were very meticulous. From the removal of the old lawn, to the placement of the rocks, everything was done perfectly. They were very careful not to disturb my Covid project: my succulent fountain. They cleaned up after each day of work. Then came planting time. Again, I gave them the type of plants that I liked, but because they were the experts, I trusted them to choose the proper ones that would thrive during this drought that we're having. Gary worked his magic. I can't wait to see all these plants mature.

A couple of weeks after the project was completed, there were two plants that weren't doing very well. One actually died. I called Andre, and the plant was replaced by an irrigation tech who also made sure that the drip system was functioning properly.

My backyard has a big slope down to one of the lakes in Treelake Village. The main center part was all grass. I wanted to remove almost all of the grass and put in terracing, drought-tolerant native plants, and a path down to the gate next to the lake. I contacted about 6 different companies - only two replied. I was immediately impressed with the plan made by Andre, the manager. The team came every day for 6 weeks (except during the heavy rains), put in exactly what I had pictured in my mind and were just wonderful to work with. Andre and owner Gary Holt came out often to see the progress. They installed 3 18-inch walls to terrace the yard, filled in with dirt and liners to cut down on weeds under the new grass, new plants and shredded bark. The flagstone steps go from the grass, at the top, to the gate. It's absolutely beautiful and exactly what I wanted. Almost every plant has flowers to attract bees, hummingbirds and butterflies. The crew was very careful, cleaned afterward so I wouldn't have any work to do. I'm now enjoying an environmentally friendly and spectacular yard!

Gary called me less than 5 minutes after I left a message for him this morning, He came out the same day and was very personable and efficient. His prices were reasonable and he fixed the problem in less than an hour. We had been without water for over 24 hours so it was great to get the job done so quickly. Cleaned up and repaired landscaping in the front added and replaced bushes. Performed landscaping in the back and trimmed a couple of large bushes. Irrigation had to be redone for some areas.

Gary was very personable and responsive throughout the project and offered excellent solutions to some problems in the front yard. He presented the plan and an itemized list of the things to be done, with the cost for each line item. I found this very helpful and allowed me to control the costs. He listened and understood what I wanted to have done.

Everything was handled professionally. The yard looked much better. Everything was cleaned up upon completion of the work. I found it very easy to work with Gary to get this job done and I would recommend this company for any landscaping jobs.
